The Monster Multiverse

There was a great shadow duel. The Shadow Realm, and Human Realm became one. Shadow games are now common place. Countless people have lost their souls. If one was challenged to a shadow game, and did not have a deck it was treated as a loss. They thus lose their souls. Humans near extinction, as Shadow games grow more, and more common. At the age of ten children are given Decks, and are sent to Duel Academies. However in this world not every duel is a Shadow game. If both duelists agree that it isn't a shadow game at the beginning of the duel then both players are safe. However if one person decides that it will be a shadow game, then the loser will lose their soul. Every eight years there is a dark tournament, and the winner gets one wish. Every duel in a Dark tournament is however a Shadow game. This year the Dark tournament is coming up, and you may enter the tournament. For right now you are students in the Kaiba University. This is your first year here. The damage during a shadow game, and a regular duel will be real. (to make things alittle more exciting.)

On a ship traveling to Kaiba island where we will learn more about the art and sport of duels the duelists gather at the bow where the dean of the school awaits us standing on a platform.
Dean Noboru "Welcome all of you. we are a few miles from the island and i wanted to congratulate you all for getting this far for this school is the most prestigious school in the world. We have the finest professors, the freshest food from the mainland and the ocean. All prepared by the best chefs. This is all possible thanks to the Kaiba Corp. I see alot of potential this year and we will need it because this year the Dark Tournament will begin once again. Make me and your parents proud during those terrible times. Now once we make shore i want you all to pair up and duel like your in a shadow game, for that is how we will evaluate your dueling skills and place you into one of three houses. the top duelists will be placed in the galaxy-eyes photon dragon house. the duelists that show potential but is not quite there will be placed in the blue-eyes house, and the duelists that are the weakest will be placed in the red-eyes house. so i bid thee good luck!"
He then turns around just as Kaiba island comes into view. A great majestic building rising out of the ground a black building with towers and spires branching off like lightning up top is a dome shaped like the head of blue-eyes white dragon, a Kaiba staple, and if you look at the sprawling spires and towers at the right angle they form the wings of the red-eyes black dragon. Then as the ship came closer you can see at the base what appears to be the feet of the galaxy-eyes photon dragon. Next over by some cliffs you see a red and black 3 story apt. building with a few students milling around. To the east is a grander blue and white building overlooking a lake. And nearest to the school the a grand mansion-like building black and gold with towers sprouting up from both sides. the ship docks and the students disembark gathering around.
Dean Noboru "Now students there is a big clearing in the woods go there and duel. your judges will be myself, the staff and your fellow students. oh i forgot to mention and i hate to say this but those of you who does not make the grade will be sent home and have to wait till next year to try again. So i say again Good Luck!"
Nathan walks around scanning the talent until he see's Chris standing looking up at the top of the school. thinking this will be a easy win walks over to him. and challenges him. Heero on the other hand sits down and meditates waiting for a strong opponent, on finally comes up to him looking like he doesn't belong he taps Heero on the shoulder and asks him for the honor of a duel which he accepts. Chris jumps out of his reverie and quickly accepts. the duels have begun.

"So, who are you?" I ask the student I have targeted to be my next victim.
(Don't worry. All RPers will "make the grade.")

I'm Chris. Who are you? *he watches this person wondering how this going to play out*

"The name is Nathan, now that the introductions are out of the way... lets duel!" I pull out my deck. "May the best man win!"

*pulls out his own deck and duel disk* Don't hold back!

Jin: Heero: "Alright, pick a side heads or tails." I pull out a coin.

(I thought I was dueling Nathan. I'm so confused.)

Tails. Always go for tails.

(You are, Heero has his own duel. However he is going to wait.)

I flip the coin, and it lands on tails. "Alright you go first."

(Okay.)

Alrigh I'll summon Gagagigo and set one card face down. Turn end.

I summon Shield Worm in attack mode.


It's effect switched it to defense mode. and you discard 1 card I set one card, then end my turn.

And equip it with Axe of despair!

And attack your Spearfish Soldier!

Spearfish is destroyed so your monster's effect kicks in. (Sorry it took me so long. Fell alseep at the comp)

Chainsaw insect destroys Spearfish, and sparks fly covering Chris. Chris loses 1700 LP

Chainsaw Insect attacks Gagagigo, and Arsenal Bug attacks your Spined Gillman. If you don't have any counter I end my turn
