9th attempt at art in Photoshop...
gold_dragon_at_midnight_falls_by_tsarcube-d4tr3xp.jpg
Well... that took longer then expected @_@

I was originally hoping to finish her within two weeks and it somehow got dragged on for a month due to real life disturbances.

Tried some new stuff here, like adding more tones to skin as well as making a more "painted" background, the cliffs turned out quite well, I think I fluked them somehow >.>;;

Anyway, she is a Gold Dragon from my setting, a rare species which controls thunder and lightning. I was planning to draw her last year, even made the line art and all but decided to colour her in this year to commemorate the Year of the Dragon :3 (it's my year after all)

So... Happy Year Of The Dragon everyone, even more so if you are Dragons by birth ^_^

Nice work, I especially love her wings and the gold lightning/energy effects! Also nice work on the make up effects, it makes her eyes and mouth look quite lovely.

The Lightning effects makes her stand out as someone you don't want to mess with.

Wow look really nice ^_________^
The sparkling and the lightning-effects sure set her in a nice spot.
The backgroudn also does not give a disturbing impression either.

The only thing right now of which I think that could be interpreted as crisicism is, that I'd expect a Dragon to look a bit scalier.
But honestly, I don't have anything to complain about right now ^ ^

Also, her yellow lip(s)tick ?) makes it look slightly like a beak at first glance XD

The Gold Dragon is my favorite so far, for obvious reasons. After that comes the Lamia, then a tie between the Vampire and Dark Elf. Keep up the great work, comrade.

Those are all natural and not make up :^^v:

The gold over her eyes is small golden scales and the lips are also naturally with a golden gleam :^^:

Indeed, their race is one of the most powerful Lightning users in the universe :^^;:

Well I havn't written it up yet but she can grow more scales out of her body to cover herself fully in golden armour, right now she only has it on her legs, shoulders and hands... yes those are scales of her armour and are part of her body :info:

Thanks, I'm thinking of drawing a fairy next :happyness:

The WereRat had smaller boobs :^^;:

I will put smaller ones on the Harpy most likely though... since you will probably kill me if I put big ones on her :wall:

Yes, I will probably draw her after the Fairy, she is in the first 10 pics i plan for my setting and with the Golden Dragon i now have 4, so most likely after the Fairy... I want to try my hand at feathers :nerd:

She looks really nice, I bet Hazzard would like her, too.

I'd ask about what kind of man they like or what it takes to be charmed by someone like her, but I know that, either way, I don't have a chance. XD

If she was a Gold Harpy I would stand a chance and NEVER give up being a friend of hers. The Gold Dragon is too scaly (and booby lol) for me.. ^^;

Oh man..golden feathers..must look amazing!

I'm sure you would have a chance ShadowKnux ;3

@Feathers, wouldn't a golden Harpy be a Phoenix?

========================================================

Anyway, here is the next one I finally finished:
dark_fairy_in_a_magical_forest_by_tsarcube-d4x1xht.jpg
So I heard Kenkou Cross (the creator of Monster Girl Encyclopaedia) is celebrating his birthday on 2nd of May, so I decided to pitch in an art present of my own...

And this is the result ^^

I was going to draw something more "birthday" like at first but then I thought I would draw something that might give him an idea for his Encyclopaedia instead.

Regardless, I'll probably use her in my own setting as well. :^^;:

She will be a Dark Fairy poison expert, the greens and purples hopefully convey the "poison" and "toxic" feeling well enough... and her wings can put people to sleep >:3

Like I already told you on yahoo Tsar, the pic looks really good ^ ^

It creates a fitting atmosphere, supported by the cold colourign and the "dark" light.
The "highlight" of the pic definitly are her wings. The powdery effect on her wings just looks like a beautiful ngithskye at the same time, but the piosn powder will put you to sleep.

Only two things I was able to find after intense starign were HER left foot and her face. I think you shoudl try hintign at the curve in her foot with shadowing, but really only slightly. And her face, despite the colouring hiding this very good, looks a bit to anime-style for her realistic body.
Anyway, I needed to stare at the pic quite a lot to detect these "flaws", but your pic still looks great.
Looking at your first attempts at drawing, you really improved a lot and I hope it was also some of my direct and partly cruel criticism that helped you improve.
:crying:

Anyway, got to prepare everything for tonights fairy-hunting in the nearby forest now. :happyness:

There are lots of yellow colored birds, such as Goldfinches, parakeets, lovebirds, and the like.

Nice job the fairy has a beautiful face. As usual I love your make up work too (or conveniently placed facial features that resemble make up like you seem to enjoy calling it heh). Her wings don't seem to match the position she is sitting in though.

Either of those are fine with me, including the phoenix. Pure yellow parakeets and love birds are so beautiful. I miss mine.. :(

FAIRY!!! *promptly makes plans to meet fairy* :^^:

I'd rather a *light fairy* - one who is a healer type - BUT besides that little quibble, she's wonderful...wonder what would happen if she found out there were people that WANTED to meet her because she's so pretty?

Greetings Z

-Review recovered from the abyss

First of all congratulations on your work on the lights. It is simply amazing.
You also have become quite accomplished into the confection of environments.

The girl is well shaped and enlightened, however allow the writer of this to
point out some oddities if you don´t mind...

First is the position-perspective correlation in two parts.
The first one is on her wings. They seem to be directly facing to the viewer
in spite of the fact that the girl is noticeable turned to a side (45 degrees
approximately). This is not a minor issue as it gives the sensation that the
right side of her wing is bigger than the left side of it.

The second part where this same issue arises is at the back of the woman´s head.
She has some sort of pony tail, hasn´t her? Well, it seems that her hair clip is
slightly shifted towards the right. Normally this wouldn´t be noticeable however
her lock of hair spreads far too much to the right as well, which gives the sensation
that the entire section is a bit misplaced. Nevertheless, this time you can actually
pull this out by simply explaining that her pony tail is not centred but placed
slightly to a side (which in fact is another way of using it nowadays "fashion"),
adding that her relatively short hair (actually is more like mid-length) "behaves"
differently from the long straight hair people are used to see of most women...

The other type of oddity to point out is the lighting on her face, or to be more precise,
the lack of it. See, all her body has been beautifully and quite accurately illuminated
by both the environment and the flask she is holding, but then check out her face.
Even thought the green dust being released by the flask between her hands seems
quite radiant, there´s barely a dim lighting on her chin (and lips)and nothing more.
The extremely soft blink on her nose looks rather than part of her blush.

Even if you consider that neither the light from the environment or the flask are
close enough to her visage, the radiant and powder IS indeed. If you ever decide
to revise that part, don´t forget to take into account the greenish hue of the light
source in this case...

That aside, this is quite a delightful work to contemplate. Just willing to decipher
that message you apparently have devoted to KKK, which is found at the bottom left
of the image (only know that the last word is "Kenkou Kurosu/Cross"). Enough said.

See you on your next piece of art.

Oooohh...so shimmery and sparkly looking. :wow:

I love the "Toxic Fairy" idea...Though my mind almost immiediately assosciates the word toxic with Beelzebub. :^^;:

Very good job, I hope Kenkou likes it as well. :^^:
