Haven't played yet but it's been getting rave reviews and it's shooting Battleborn out of the water but kinda torn.

I like Mushroom Ninjas and Gentlemen Robots but I also like Battlefield Angels and Shotgun Grim Reapers.

Nothing like killing 5 people at once (working on 6 though I did kill the last guy manually afterwards lol) with one ultimate. I had such a rewarding POTG last night! I think I found a new favorite in Mcree when I'm not being everyone's guardian angel. My wild west tendencies must of kicked in. I always loved 6 shooters anyway! I was always a dead eye in Counterstrike with the Desert Eagle, so it fits me well in OW.

I also heard Mcree (Fan the Hammer damage reduced) and Widowmaker (no more one hit kill bodyshots) will be nerfed, and D.VA buffed. The nerfs are justified in my opinion though.

No word on Bastion getting nerfed. Once the noob barrier is down people learn to play Windowmaker, Hanzo, Reinhart, Junkrat, Genji, Pharah, etc. to counter it. So many counters to Bastion, don't know why people are so Salty. I don't see it as overpowered.

Well, after hearing enough online folks, coworkers and the sort speak of this game. Decided to buy the game, will keep you posted about my two cents with this arena shooter (Hoping to goodness it surpasses the boring Doom Multiplayer)

Edit: After looking up Dva as Feathers thought would be a potential main. Was it because of me having a tendency to lean around Gundams and ACs (Armored Core, maybe even Tau Battesuits)?

Bastion is overpowered because it gives too much for how easy he's to use. OP is not that a character can't be countered, it's that the ammount of work and skill you need to counter it is far superior to the one said character needs to kill you.

The most op char for me is Genzo though. I think his E should stop bullets but not deflect them back. He can deflect back even ultimates and missiles. Way too op for me.

*Laughs at Bastion pic*

I can honestly say that most heroes are balanced, apart from the ones that are getting nerfed. Genji gets destroyed by Mcree quite easily by the way. After 130+ wins I learned a lot about counters. Sometimes you get bad teams or really good enemies though..it's not always fun. >.>

Nice Pierce hope you like her, she is getting buffs at the end of June so hang tight.

Ok, so now that I've given the game a full test run and played with the characters there's much to say.

General gameplay: Almost all the characters move at the speed of a jogger/brisk walker. Completely opposite to Doom's speedy run and gun tactics and most teammates got a bad habit of clumping together, making the fights very scrambled.
Bastion without a doubt is an easy to play character, and his gatling mode is equally powerful as Doomguy's triplebarrel gatling cannon.
he IS easy to counter, the minute he's a sitting duck, getting out of his line of sight and flanking him is all that's needed.
Reaper I also enjoy playing with, though gliding about is slightly helpful while his ultimate's such a throwback to a classic TV show.

Soldier 76 is basically the well balanced player, and most of his features (except healing and ultimate) are on par with the typical Call of Duty player, so a good entry player.
Widow-maker is ok, but my play-style conflicts with her methods.
Reinhardt is a goto for being the literal wall.
Dva turned out to be OK, while defensive, just too clunky.
As much as I want to try Tracer more, she's but a glass cannon that requires lots of manuveuring. While she's best at zip-lining single opponents, I'm stuck with too many clumped groups of enemies to make her useful.

To summarize, I do intend to play with all characters, however the other players and opponents leave the battlefield too biased to get a good meta outta all of them.

Make sure to tell us what you think when you get the Zenyatta! I hear he's pretty hard to use...

Haha yeah they made 76 be the CoD players favorite. Nice catch. Zenyatta Is easy to play in my opinion, he's just easy to kill also. His healing is too slow to be on par with Lucio or Mercy. He's basically the BEST hero for countering a lot of non instant gib ultimates (Mei, Reaper, Phara, Roadhog, etc.) and a makes decent secondary sniper/support.

Don't base the game off level 1-30 though, it changes a lot once you get out of the noob haven. I'm nearly 40 now and getting 70+ players in my games, and the games are getting really intense. It also needs to balance your match making stat to determine how good you are.

I play the game religiously when i'm free. And I find it's the first game in a while I care enough to break it down and be competitive.

I would say that the CoD character is Reaper. I'm dissapointed when i see a Reaper player who doesn't have XX in his name.

I also found a different way to play the game. Don't judge me. Well, judge me :D

Well Blizzard did specifically say 76 was designed for Halo and CoD players which is why I said it. And yeah, had a friend of mine build cliff portal before and wiped the team. Evil.

My main complaint about the game is how it connects you to other services in other countries, which gives a me massive lag disadvantage.

There is not enough facepalms to express how I feel about that.

I'm certain Blizzard will have a field day making sure the Legend of Titan will go traceless.

And I'm certain Mei's facepalming hard at her own people copying others...

China always does that; they have copyright laws so lax that they can copy whatever they want with no repercusion. They have their own League of legends, etc

If it helps, their government likely doesn't let them get most Western games, so they have to make their own...

Also WoW and TF2.

Not sure if they do it to cash in, or just to mind-lock their populace on their own versions of the game, and not on any other that might contain things that might ''cause ideological diversionism'' (read: free thought and will).

Yeah, those "game companies" have no creative ideas of their own, so they have to steal steal steal, of course.

In other news, the Mcree nerfs made him too weak. A full fan can barely kill anything anymore, unless you get lucky with a headshot. I think they overdid the nerf. If I see a Mcree on my team I know I'm going to lose now. Widowmaker still seems very strong though, but not over the top 1 hit body shots anymore. Symmetra seems to be getting noticed now that Mcree isn't the top ambusher anymore.
