Game Sales General

I guess I'll take you up on it.

My aim with this is to collect info on major game sales on multiple platforms into one thread from now on. I guess there will always be the biyearly Steam sale threads where people discuss what they have bought/will buy/want to buy and that one Humble Bundle thread Feathers mentioned. I can't stop those. Still, there are other game platforms as well such as GoG and... uh UPlay or... uh... Origin. Maybe Battle.net counts too. I for one have games on Steam, GoG Galaxy, Uplay and Battle.net and sometimes I donate to Humble Bundle.

So, I'm going to post for anyone that might be interested. Plus, some of the aforementioned platforms/online stores sometimes offer free games for a limited time and I have felt bad about not having told anyone before when they happened. Or maybe they know already?

For starters there's a Winter Sale happening at the Humble Bundle Store, although it doesn't seem like everything is on sale like on Steam. It goes until next Wednesday.

I don't know about everyone else, but it's incredibly frustrating to log in Humble Bundle lately. It asked me to do ReCaptchas at least 10 times. It keeps saying passed and shows a checkmark, then asks again, and again...ugh.

I think I'm pretty spent out on games (and well I'm saving for a smart phone) since I had to buy an unplanned new HDD since my old one had corrupted attributes (apparently maybe caused by using hibernate mode and losing power too much..). Loving the solid state though.

I think eventually I will grab Dark Souls 3 since EVERYONE keeps talking about it, when it's on sale, that is.

For me, it's because i'm taking too long to submit it, while I'm dicking around with the sliders.

Anyway, there's an Indie Game Festival on both Steam and the Humble Bundle Store that might be interesting to some.

I heard Stardew is good, but I don't buy Indie games often (though I might buy monster girl island), so I couldn't say.
Spoiler: show
I actually removed all of them that were included in my Humble Bundles in the past, lol. They are so boring to me heh. I blame my childhood, being stuck with so many crappy Indie games made me adverse to them. >.> Most indie games these days just seem to be cheap ideas with "different" themes or are copy cat games.

Well, I played it, and TBH, I'd strongly recommend it, specially if you're a fan of Harvest Moon games.

I'm going to get the new Story of Seasons, that Inari girl looks so cute.

Looks like Greenman gaming has some nice deals on Independent games too.

So Story of Seasons is like Harvest Moon and Rune Factory?

Saints Row 2 is free on GoG.com for the next 24 hours for those who are into that and don't have it yet. As well, Deep Silver games are on sale.

https://www.gog.com/game/saints_row_2 (is it worth playing?)

SR2 good but really buggy port. Wonder if they fixed all the issues yet. Definitely worth a try at least, in my opinion. I remember the game running in super speed mode, it drove me crazy. Was a good game though, and I think probably the best of the Saint's Rows in terms of stuff to do and overall. SR3 was not too bad, but 4 was just pure insanity and felt kind of rushed. They got more out of the gang genre and more into the humor/over the top insanity over time.

Huh, that's right. http://whenisthenextsteamsale.com/ (Avast tells me the site is legit)

Meanwhile, GoG's Summer Sale has just started. They do seem to place theirs just before Steam's nowadays.
For any purchase you get Rebel Galaxy for free.

Ah, at last. Finally a Steam Wallet Rape in which my wallet is plump and stuffed instead of starving and emaciated...

So far, only gotten Salt & Sanctuary and Duskers at great prices. Will be getting Cuphead if the price goes 40% or lower.

Btw, recently got a game called Battle Chasers:Nightwar, which has proven to be a very good RPG.

Don't Starve was cheap and in my wallet range since I'm spent after buying a Switch + Xenoblade C2. Switch was well worth it, much to my surprise. Tried every Steam game I wanted to already.
