I think this makes it official; Square Enix finally woke up; they've come to realize they hold many of the shining jewels that once adorned what was the SNES's Golden Crown, and are now in the purpose of polishing them again.

Honestly, I think this game needs no introduction; it's Seiken Densetsu 3! One of the SNES's finest that didn't grace the west with its glory until a team of heroic translators and ROM hackers patched it up, and now it's coming back, on glorious PC, with DQ11-level of graphics, voice acting and god knows what other improvement.

Now, take a glass of cold water and throw it on your faces. Done? Can you still read this? Good, that means WE'RE NOT DREAMING!! THIS IS FOR REALSIES!!

And given things are going this way... maybe soon we'll have Legend of Mana, too? I'm sure I know someone who'd love that.

And man... can you imagine what's she gonna look like in the Magus class? And YES, it's confirmed that the class changing does more than a palette swap, as seen there on best beast bro (whom I swear now looks a bit like Goku...)

Don't think I'll ever play or use Chamlotte, ew. I always thought she was a terrible character. I tried so hard to finish he route or even care about, but she's just so irritating to me. Angela early game was rough but fun. My first team was Paladin Duran, Ries I forgot her class..had buffs, and Rogue Hawkeye though. I won't pick my main as my favorite though, since they have the worst ending!

Nice, now we just need a Rise of Mana revival announcement! I'm still pissed the Vita version was canned! People seem very hyped for this SOM3 remake, I'm really hoping to see Mana revival in general. And of course, a 3D model of Elle. YES!

Bit of a warning tho; that article has EVERYTHING; as in, what all of the classes will look like, so if you wanna surprise yourself with what they look, don't go there.

Beyond that, it showcases some of the new features (like being able to play the prologue of your party members), the profiles of our heroes, the dungeons and how will they work,a sneak peek of one of the Harpy enemies, and they even made full remasters of the bundled art that came with the SNES Special Edition (a promotion some stores held back then)... My god... Squeenix is not pulling any punches with this one...

Dude the Riesz service fan arts literally never end. Yeah I read all the stuff before. And hell ya I did see the Harpies, they look great! I would love to rip and rig those models for future research. 8)

Well, to give you a spoiler-free review, the improvement is MASSIVE, but the essence of what made the game good remains untouched (including the difficulty).

1-Combat has been greatly improved upon; characters in battle no longer move like they're dragging their feet,there's a dodge button now (Remember how when a monster attacked, it would ALWAYS hit someone? Not anymore... thanks goodness) that works even against spells, and the old special attack system now has a comfy shortcut system that makes it quite easy to use, and as you level up, you unlock a whole lotta skills that give you minor advantages (like doing more damage after you took damage, spell evasion chance or small amount of HP healed after battle).

2-The game has ZERO Console-itis; mouse and keyboard works like a charm, and the interface is quite display friendly, and the menus work with mouse and keyboard. The Eng dub is meh, but you can switch to the much better japanese one, with everything subtitled. They also brought all of the original composers back and remastered the old soundtrack so damn well I sometimes teared up with nostalgia when a beloved old tune began.

3-Angela and Riezs's legs look sexy enough to put most hentai to shame. And the game also accomplished something I believed to be impossible to do... They made Charlotte EVEN MORE ANNOYING by making her speak like Elmer Fudd...
