I have to wonder if there are variations to the standard Doppleganger outfit.

Might be. I mean, it seems like most of the other MG's could change outfits easily enough, but when you're dealing with something that's physically fused with their clothing, like a Roper, probably not. With the Doppelganger, her outfit might be seen as a manifestation of her soul. This brings up the question of whether or not she's a corporeal undead, like a Vampire or Ghoul, or an incorporeal undead, like a Ghost.

If the Doppelganger is like a Ghost, then no, they're probably all stuck in the same outfit, since it's a literal part of them. It might be possible that their clothes reflect their former lives somehow, though. If she's a corporeal undead, then she's probably only wearing that because she's too shy to get anything else, since she'd have to deal with people one way or another, to get something that was fitted to her.
