Why thank you, that's one extra idea for the fanart thread. :^^:
On the bright side, one can make a profit by selling her fur either as a prime
resource for the confection of clothes (to Jorogumos) or as a manufactured
fur coat (quite in the same manner you would do it with a Were-sheep)
.
Hmm, at least her fur doesn't double for a sedative, just so damn fluffy and warm.

The entry only says snowy mountain areas or tundra. I do believe there are other mountainous areas that are not as remote as the Himalayas - like the Rocky Mountains for example. Even here in Hawaii, Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa does have snowy summits and are nowhere near being remote.

Oh? It sounds like someone has a fear of carebears. :hehe:

Though, I can see why you say that... Considering the yetis before this one are supposed to be vicious and terrifying, and this yeti if the exact opposite.

As long as your not getting the idea of using my tail to make a scarf, I won't stop you.

Wondering what Mgs could fill in the roles of Care"bears". Yeti, Weresheep and
Grizzly maybe. Meanwhile a Baphomet could pose as the enemy against this busty fluffiness...

There are no Yetis in the Rocky mountains, but Big feet at best.

An island like Hawaii would actually be even more remote than a mountain range,
at least for someone living in the continent.
Furthermore, Night-marches would scare yetis away ;)

Actually, most rl alleged sighting of Yetis tend to describe them as evasive
creatures who prefer to flee from humans rather than attacking them.
So in general the Yeti and its North American counterpart are relatively
calm and collected compared to most creatures from myths and other
cryptids.

Yours.

Still, the entry made no specific mention that the Yeti lives in somewhere as remote as the Himalayan mountains. Sure that is where the story of the Yeti may have originated, but as far as the profile is concerned, they could just be as widespread as other MGs (as long as there's a snowy place to live of course). Most of the non-Zipangu MGs have different areas where their legends originate from, yet they are still mixed together and given very general habitat locales. Otherwise, you wouldn't really be able to have a Grizzly (bear from North America) that feeds off Alraune nectar(Alraune being from Germany I believe).

Still, a remote island like Hawaii is far more accessible than the Himalayas. What it comes down to is ease of accessibility. It is very possible that a yeti home may be just as accessible as a trip down a road that leads up a snowy mountain.

@ Gamer: so long as she doesn't mind more than one at a time showing up, sure!

One question, how territorial are yeti? I mean, are you likely only going to run into one yeti at a snowy place, or might you find several?

The first things that come to my mind are a hearty yet adorable "WELCOME to the Himalayas!", and a musing on what a Jr. Yeti would look like, so to speak.

This hug-monster is right up my alley.

You know when your cat has kittens. You give her a box with a bunch of towels in the botton for her to sleep with her newborns. And every once in a while you look inside and just melt from the cuteness.

A Yeti with pups "?" might be something like that.

I believe the term for a baby yeti would be "cub." Not sure why... Just seems more fitting.

But I agree with you, Helios. A mother yeti with her childeren would be so adorable! :^^:

I know that feeling. My neighbor's dog gave birth 'bout a week ago, and every time I pass nearby I notice 6 fawning balls of fur trying to walk in the garden. They're so cute that you want to squeeze them to bits.

I just realized. I'm pretty sure "Yeti" is one of the many names for Sasquatch or Bigfoot. Well, she certainly does have big feet.

Also, Sasquatch is an American myth. I think it's cool that KC actually did something from an American myth. If he really wants to get diverse, he'll do Chupacabra next.

Yeti is actually another name for the abominable snowman from the Himalayan mountains. Yeti are ape-like cryptids like bigfoot and sasquatch though. I believe almost every continent has some form of them so it could be that the Yeti and Sasquatch are related.
