いろいろと正体不明な魔物で、他の魔物達と異なる恐るべき能力や精神性を有しています。
Much remains uncertain about these monsters, and they possess terrifying abilities and a terrifying mentality compared to other monsters.

魔王の影響で女性にはなっているのですが、どうやら魔王の部下というわけではないらしく・・・
They have become females due to the influence of the Mamono Lord, but it seems they aren't actually underlings of the Mamono Lord...

マインドフレイアに関して補足しておきますと、夫のイカ化は可逆で、好きな時に人に戻ったりイカになったりできます。
Here is some supplemental information concerning the mindflayer. The husband's squid transformation is reversible, and he can return to being human or change into a squid whenever he likes.

もちろん人の姿での交わりもするんですが、人前でイカにぬぷぬぷされておきながら、人の姿の旦那と人前でいちゃつくのは恥ずかしｇ、何故か隠そうとするみたいです。
Or course they do it in human form as well, but while they are fine with being teased by a squid in front of other people, they're shy about doing it with their husband in human form in front of others, and for some reason, it seems they try to hide it.

And

魔王の部下ではないですが、割とﾏｲﾝﾄﾞﾌﾚｲｱは他の魔物と仲良くしてるとか。
They aren't underlings of the mamono lord, but mindflayers do get along relatively well with other monsters, or something like that.

例えば他の夫婦に頼まれて、夫に「自分はオーク（旧魔王時代」魔物娘に「自分は人間の姫騎士」という記憶を与えて、演技じゃない迫真のプレイの手助けをさせられたりしてるんだとか…
For example, if requested by another couple, she can give the husband the memory that “he himself is an orc (from the era of the former mamono lords) “ and she can give the monster girl the memory that “she herself is a human knight”. This does aid in having realistic play that isn't acting, and stuff like that...

That said, since she's clearly squid-themed and instead of octopus-themed, I dare say she's based on the Final Fantasy Mind Flayer(which is squid-themed and has its name separated like this) and not on the original D&D Mindflayer(which is based on an octopus).

I...Illi...Illithid...
...As much as I love tentacles, this one deserves extreme caution... as staying the hell away from her and wear a helmet 24/7.

Looks wise she looks pretty hot... Despite the incredibly unfitting derp face she has (this girl should pretty much be the Dr.Eggman of MGE in terms of sheer intelligence/knowledge/IQ... Why giving her a "hurr durr durr I RAEP YOO NAO" facial expression?)...
...But truth to be told until I read a translated version of her I'll regard her as a "no thanks" for the time being (I'm not ready to throw my life, rational thoughts and brain away yet).
Also it's kinda funny that she has Ultros' long lost cousin as a crotch cover.

.P.S.: At the very least this one hasn't managed to learn the arts of kawaiism... or else we'll all be doomed.

Well... That's actually wouldn't be that far of Illithids' biology (except the under the sea thingy).

How Illithids/Mind Flayers are made in D&D folklore:

-A Illithid spawns a larva
-The larva (which resembles a tadpole) spends 10 years developing under Elder Brain's care (Elder Brains are pretty much the rulers of Illithids' cities/regions)
-The larva now developed is implanted in a humanoid host (and one standing between 5 feet 4 inches and 6 feet 2 inches height if possible).
-The larva consumes the host's brain from the inside and ends up assimilating the host's physical form eventually assimilating its host.
-Once the larva has finished the process (known as Ceromorphosis) the result is a mature and fully sapient brain eating Zoidberg.

My favourite of all monsters from Dungeons and dragons, and its finally in the listing!

I'll comment on one thing though.......I'm not sure if what might happen if certain Wizards find out about this upon the coastline. Mind Flayer/Illithid is THEIR creation, and very few other companies that incoperate such a creature get away with calling them by such names.

Just a small worry.

Sigh, while I think the art looks good I really don't get why he drew the mindflayer head as a clothing accessory or as a part of her lower body. It would have worked better and made more sense I feel as a crest of tentacles on her head. It did not really need to have eyes either. Also why give her human hair when her hair could have been comprised of tentacles?
