Kenkou's notes:
Spoiler: show
今回の魔物娘はぬるぬるボディのジパング人魚、「鰻女郎(ウナギジョロウ)」さんです。
This time's monster girl is a Zipangu mermaid with a slimy body, “unagi joro”-san.

心身共にぬるりと掴みづらく、その身体に触れようとも一部の箇所(お察しください)を除いてぬるっと滑り、
Their heart and body are both slippery and difficult to grasp, and even if you try to touch their body, you'll slip, except for in one place (please try to guess).

一方でその身体に巻き付かれてしまえば、ぬるりとして引き離す事もできず、
余計に彼女達の身体から抜け出せなくなってしまうのだとか……
On the other hand, if coiled around and wrapped by their body, it's so slippery you won't be able to get it off you, and that'll just make it even more difficult to escape from their body, or something like that...

A freshwater eel, huh?

Wonder what this profile will entail.

Me thinks Electric Eel, especially if you look at the sleeve decal, looks like a lightning bolt. Liking the demure look. Has some sort of slime to keep hydrated, possibly. Busty's always a win in my book. Colour palette though, I don't know, seems very earthy and grounded.

Accurate you mean, right?

Now compare this to our lass.

And I've gotta agree with Phantom, that palette mimic freshwater eel's colour pattern, maybe we'll see an electric eel implemented someday... but it won't be this time around.

I'm incredibly s̶u̶r̶p̶r̶i̶s̶e̶d̶ disappointed to see how this concept took so long to actually get implemented as an entry... An eelmaid is actually quite a pretty clever concept and a nice way to keep expanding the merfolk and give them a bit more of diversity.
I'll save my two cents until her translation comes around, but lookwise she's pretty stunning (gotta love that mole under her right eye) and the concept behind her has piqued my interest... Which is something that doesn't happen very often.

all I can think is that one joke, "Unagi gives you samurai sword, unagi power!"

Eel. Not a snake, but close enough.

Ok this is a concept I can get behind, and while I don't know much about Japanese lore I feel she loves cooking sea food.

I wonder if they go out to sea to spawn...

An Eelmaid? Gosh, I'm getting the feeling that KC has been reading Monster Musume....

I totally agree. When I first saw her I liked what I saw. Then I saw the ears. Those two things are just too droopy.

I might be wrong on this but I think that's she based on an actual animal (Japanese fresh water eel/Unagi/Anguilla Japonica) than on a lore based youkai... like it happened with the Oomukade entry.

Waifu-tier monster girl whose mucus has life and stamina restoring effects? It's like a Holstuarus with the body of an eel. Ken has successfully combined my two favorite monster girls: Holstuarus and Lamia. Sign me up, Sempai.

I hadn't thought of that way. Would explain the shape of the ears.

Also they are fin ears and the eels she is based on do have fins shaped rather like that.
