Kenkou's notes:
Spoiler: show
This time it's a race that wasn't first revealed in Encyclopedia II, the new race “Redcap”!
Encyclopedia II included up to No. 200, so this girl is the 201st race.

They have a somehow dangerous aura, a dangerous look in their eyes, and carry a dangerous specialized weapon, and they actually are dangerous! If they spot a man, they'll slash him up, violate, and milk him! (The weapons are made from mamono realm metal and don't inflict pain or external wounds, so relax.)

Their terrifying looking caps that appear blood stained are their distinguishing trait, but these caps may have a secret or something...

KC is a cheeky scrub. Must have had some secret girls hidden away in between the MGE 2 Girls. This this is the Redcap.

Why am I getting an R A Salvator vibe from this lol?
Three were goblins, but the fourth, holding the torch, was a creature the ranger had never before seen, a dwarf, barrel chested but spindly limbed, wearing a red cap. A cap red with blood, Elbryan knew, for though he had never seen a powrie before, he remembered well the childhood tales of the wicked dwarves.
And yes, they love to use blades!

Now this is a surprise... An English lore based monster that pops out of nowhere.

Redcaps (also known as Dunters and Powries) are a variety of goblins mainly known for their murderous intent and malevolvent nature.
Redcaps tend to inhabit abandoned and ruined castles and will kill whoever unlucky enough to wander into their lairs, once dead the redcaps will dye their hats with their victims' blood (hence why they're called redcaps).
Redcaps must kill on a regular basis since if their bloody hats dry up, they'll die... so they must dye their hats over and over as much as they can.

Anyway... Now that there's a bit of background on them... let's move on the profile itself...
This one definitely caught me off guard, but also leaves me extremely wary of however she can turn out since usually Kenkou doesn't treat European lore girls really nicely (cases like Kikimora are a miracle) and turn out to be either extremely inaccurate or a downright mockery of the myth/lore behind the creature.

I'll wait to give my two cents, for the time being the only thing I can do is knock on wood hoping this one ends up being yet another miraculous exception to the Euro myth rule.

Maybe it's the Great Knife wannabe she's carrying?

.... She's got Zombina's smile, Nadia Fortune's scars, and the machete from the Bloodborne Hunter, the horns of Nasu's Shuten Douji (Fate GO).

That all really makes me think of what games and animes is KC enjoying...

A loli with an bloodthirsty (sperm thirsty grin ) like the vicious look but hate the kindergarten look, maybe if she grows up one day she'll really get my attention. Oh well on to the next one after the translation.

She reminds me of a Dark Souls enemy.

Well she is a type of goblin so the most one could probably expect is an oppai loli one. Or a temporary larger body courtesy of those Wonderland cakes.

About BLOODY time!

The translated has already been updated in that other site, go check it out if you want.

I'm gotta admit that I'm genuinely baffled, as this entry over here is actually pretty faithful to the lore she's based on (the symbolism the author chose for the "death" part is kinda meh... and unfittingly corny for something supposed to be a nigh impossible to stop petite "killing machine"... but hey I'll take it).
However I find pretty odd how he manages to portray faithfully a quite obscure English-Scottish border myth, yet he decides to turn something vastly known like a Wyrm into a... crawling mockery... Kenkou sure does have one hell of a RNG switch...^^U

Anyway... She's not bad I suppose, as she's relatively faithful to the myth and her modus operandi doesn't differ from what Powrie would usually do...But if I had to stick with a goblin type I would still choose her tamer, safer (yet trickier to deal with) cousin Goblin (same goes for her variation/mutation/subspecies Hobgoblin of course).
But other than that, she's okay in my book.

Given her weapon's purpose, I'm seeing it as a two-stage process from the translation. She would probably slice off his clothes yet the blade would phase through him as if she's carving into his soul. Still looks just as cheeky as the other Goblin species.
