Kenkou's notes:
Spoiler: show
It's a race that was formerly ordered by the gods to guard the treasures that sleep in ruins. Even now that they've become monster girls in the present, they lie in wait to violate greedy men who go after the treasures. I have a feeling the meaning changed from ancient times, but it's probably my imagination!

Man, I remember ppl predicting this profile since the heyday of the MGU. I'm sure many will be glad it's finally here.

That said, her attire gives her a sort of NA Indian feeling, which is further aided by that warpaint under her eyes. I wonder if she'll somehow be related to the Centaur, as she's the only other MG with such indian pattern...

Someone ban Feathers from this thread or he will die if nosebleed infuced blood lose.

Or his sheer lust will tear spacetime opening a portal to the MGE world and dooming us all to be raped by the invaders.

I'm ok with the last bit

I'm sure Feathers would be just fine. He knows how to control himself.

Hmmm.... I've mixed feelings on this one.
On one hand visual wise looks stunning (like almost 100% of his works), but on the other... Western myth tend to get pretty poorly portrayed when Kenkonized...

Oh well... For the time being I'll save my two cents until the transtated version becomes available.

Whoa? I thought this one came out a while ago. She looks like a nice candidate for a big sister type.

She was in the MGE volume 2 released a while ago, but now we have clear images thanks to the online profile.

<><><>

She'll be up later today on MGR, and they'll be a few notable differences from the 4chan translation (if you've seen it) so look out for them.

On another note, I have to admit that while I loved her from the start I also thought something looked off about her lower body, mainly the legs. The proportions just seemed weird. Now with the clear art I realized what it was and it frankly makes her all the more interesting.

Namely that rather than just furry humanoid legs with pawed feet KC gave her legs literally structured similarly to a lion's. You see, cats walk on the equivalent of our toes, so that is why her feet seem small, she seems to have an extra leg joint (its actually the equivalent of our heel), and her knees seem a little oddly positioned.

Wow... She's blander than I expected though.
They're (somehow) pretty accurate and all that... I kinda wish he decided to add some other interpretations associated with Griffons to this, like regal "air" to them (so to speak), control over elements (to some degree)...
Reading this one, feels just... like a fluffy dragon.

I don't mean she's bad, visually wise is quite appealing and it's relatively accurate lore wise (for once)... but it somehow lacks impact compared to other entries.

I can imagine the outcome of Lara Croft and Nathan Drake fighting over the same treasure in her presence.
Griffon shoos the Tomb Raider yet keeps Drake as her personal Womb Raider...

To be fair, ferocity and griffons kind of go hand in hand. ;)

Anatomically speaking she's more beast than bird, so you just can simply pretend she's out of your "jurisdiction" (so to speak) and ignore the fact she even got to exist in this setting...lucky you.
However with her being a beast and a feline (it doesn't matter how hard she tries to repudiate her heritage, she's still an effin' feline) I'm forced to acknowledge her... even if it's a bland, boring, shallow and uninspiring entry (she's just a fluffy and negligent dragon), which has only managed to induce a yawnfest on me so far...

...hopefully fanon will manage to mend and/or redeem her somehow... Right?

While you're right on what you said about lion's anatomy, let's not forget that we're talking about an artist that gave Umi Osho a land turtle's shell instead of a sea turtle's because he made her bossom way too big for it to fit inside a sea turtle's shell...^^U

Her being bland and such is a legitimate opinion, but I'm not sure I understand the idea that she is just a fluffy dragon. She's proud and looks down on humans, but that's about it and even then the way they show their pride and the reason they look down on humans is different from dragons. Even the treasure association is different, dragons are greedy hoarders, griffons guard treasures and locations because they were ordered to in the ancient past.
