Kenkou's Notes:
Spoiler: show
As expected, the appearance of unmarried and married individuals differs greatly, and the illustration is of a married individual in a state of being joined with her husband. They have venom and will spew venom such as “You're the lowest scum!” at men, which is rare for a monster girl.

By the way, their husband is able to freely return to human form, and supposedly they also have sex while he's in human form as well, but for some reason, they're shy about being seen getting it on with their husband in human form or something to that effect.

Well... we're back once again into Lovecraftian grounds.

I'm not that versed into Lovecraftian lore in order to make a judgement out of her already, but I'm versed enough into Kenkonian lore to brace myself for a transformative impact (Shoggoth turns her husbands into jelly (which doesn't seem to sound as bad as it should actually) and Illithids slurp their "target of affection" brain's away as if it was lemon sherbet just to strip their humanity out of them and turn them into Ultros' long lost cousin since in Illithid/Mindflayers' society showing love to your husband is wrong while using a sentinent squid shaped crotch protector (an multi limbed dildo) is a-OK).

I guess I'll have to wait in order to give my two cents on this one... With some wariness this time around though.

Ahh, at last. The Lovecraftian ''Queen of Spiders'' is here. She's probably gonna be cut from the same eldritch cloth as the Shoggoth.

Sselehtenon, s'redips doog.

You know, I like spiders. But I don't want to "be" a spider.

...And I was right to be wary of this one it seems, as it turns into a big NO right after the second sentence (this must be a record even for Kenkonian standards I reckon...which it does impress me a little I suppose).

For the record I kinda appreciate that he somehow tries to allude the original Lovecraftian critter here and there but... what I don't appreciate so much is:

-Harsh verbal (and physical) abuse.
-Forced (and pretty much unavoidable) transformation (and I don't give a damn and a half if the man can revert back... That doesn't change the fact that he was forced to become a Shiny Ariados pretty much against his will to begin with).
-Bestiality (Entomophilia to be precise).
-The fact that you pretty much have to downright destroy her nervous system in order to hear something remotely affectionate out of her lips.

Anyway... I guess it's "nice" to have her around... But I'll have to pass on this one (Too many turn offs for my tastes, not even the tentacle sex serves to lessen such a negative impression).

I don't know if I can follow that train of thought, since (on a personal level that is) I can't see this one as that "great" as it doesn't have any redeeming quality behind and I can only pretty much see it as a bunch of fetishes clustered together after all.

But hey, to each their own... The fact I dislike something is not reason enough to try to force my dislike into other people's throats.
So if you like it or see it in another light different from mine, good for you.

Almost reminds me of the real-world Anglerfish... only with spiders.

Believe it or not... This entry is surprisingly better than what happens to male anglerfish.

Yeah, a man who happens to stumble upon one of them will be dragged all the way to an alternate dimension/realm (since these lasses barely move out of their territories after all) for reasons beyond his grasp and absolutely unable to come back home, he'll also suffer severe abuse both verbally and physically from a girl (who looks surprisingly similar to Queen Blade's Arane and acts surprisingly similar to KanColle's Kasumi by the way) who just met and thus should have no reason to lash out at him like that, then he'll be drugged/envenomed until all of his thoughts get replaced by a frantic lust and in the end he'll be turned into a shiny Ariados... whether if he likes it or not...

...But even with all that, he still retains autonomy (to some degree) and even rational thoughts... even if they're incredibly basic (he simply bites back at her due that he still can gather enough rational thoughts to realize that she's still lashing out at him...for literally no reason).
On the other hand male anglerfish simply cease to exist.

Don't get me wrong, I still dislike them with a BURNING passion (It took me only two sentences after all) and I consider that a marriage to one of them is one of the worst fates a man could potentially have in MGE's setting...if not the worst (in my case I can't bring myself to say that's the worst since my allergy to mushrooms makes me cringe harder every time I see a member of the Matango family though)...
...but even as grimdark as this entry is, it could have been way worse than it actually is... (And someday we'll see it for sure, since every Lovecraftian entry is definitely worse, more grimdark and terrifying than its predecessor).

.P.S.:
Yup, lots of nope and lots of fire.

One of the few Spider MGs whose earned my "Avoid" medal and a free lyric.
As with the few mentioned, I value my physical human form much more than turning into some arachnid tetrapod.

No such thing as overkill so multiply that by 5 and we should be good....I hope...

One interesting implication is that you basically have to be a lolicon for her to take an interest in you (albeit it seems likely lolicons are the ones who get mysterious led to them to begin with). If you're not someone with a "peculiar mentality" (i.e. a lolicon) then you won't be aroused by her appearance and thus she won't feel compelled to insult and bite you. Course you are still deep underground and have to find your way back to the surface.

On that note I don't think they live in another dimension, but rather deep underground/in caves like the mindflayers. Not that being lost underground in your own dimension is any better necessarily, especially with whole societies of mindflayers down there (depending on just how bad the mindflayers mind-eating actually is of course, KC's notes indicate they and other chaos girls are a lot more "normal" than the Wandering Scholar thinks).
