They're just as ferocious as they look; their entire body is a deadly weapon (however, in the mamono realm sense), and word is that they are feared as “man-eating sharks” who attack and devour humans (in a sexual sense), but perhaps this race also tends to be quite misunderstood because of their looks or something like that...?

Mershark, because ''Sharkmaid'' is too mainstream.....

I'm seriously starting to wonder if KC has run out of new ideas and has started copying Okayado....

Hey...At the very least this one didn't get officially branded with an insult as her name.

Well... It took long enough to see this one implemented, just like it happened to the eelmaid (wrong yet officially known as "eel hooker" for the sake of getting a few free laughs from the fanbase) I expected to see this one for quite a long while.
Design wise is pretty neat (like the eelmaid, which happens to be my favourite mermaid by the way) and just like the eelmaid it's a pretty clever concept to base an entry on...

...However no matter how alluring may a cover be, you should NEVER make base a judgement on it alone (as the very last profile before this very one perfectly proved), so I'll wait until the time we get a translation just to see if this one sinks or swims.

Sharkmeido? She actually looks pretty damn cool though. And Blake, they are all copying everything, so it's legit! I'd say Okayado is master of cute, and KC is master of rape face though.

Quite cool looking... granted I admit a little bias because of my apprecation for real sharks...

Well, looks like its time for a role reversal when it comes to the term "Sharking"...

Bring on the silly replies! They'd make a scary loan shark. Jaws X anime please. I wonder if she uses Nemo as bait?

I swear I've seen that face before...

All silliness aside given how many shark girls have been around I'm surprised KK hadn't released one earlier. Now that he has, is the Mershark based off any world mythos or is this likely fanservice or a poke at being afraid of the ocean?

My only complain about Mershark's image is that the characteristical dorsal fin of sharks is not visible in the artwork.

I don't find her very to my tastes just yet, though i do have to remark that i really like the fact that her tail fin is settled right.

Given the one dorsal fin we see is large and situated behind her humanoid hips and close to the equivalent of her pectoral fins, wouldn't that fin be the characteristic dorsal fin and what she lacks is the second dorsal fin and anal fin?

The translation is already up on that site, which pretty much makes it okay to give my two cents about it.

I can't say that I'm fond of her modus operandi (bleeding your "soul" out is not funny you know), but other than that... she's not that bad I suppose...even she turned out to be pretty cliché (she's pretty much the oceanic bully with a heart of gold).
Definitely not a favourite, but it could be way worse that's for sure (at the very least I can see some effort put behind her this time around).

.P.S.: Maybe it's just me but I would find adorable if these lasses began turning and tossing around during their sleep (they're based after sharks after all).

I know, right? They don't have to have humungoboobs all the time to be sexy! This is perfect. :goodjob:

Well, I must say I really like this one.

The whole ''bully with a heart of gold'' type is a very big plus to me, as such girls almost always end up acting as tsunderes. Not to mention that sharp teeth and water are always good as well.

"They're as mean as they look..." don't need to read any further, I think... So much for breaking tropes on this one heh.
