So, who would've guessed there'd be a chipmunk girl?

(Thank you Jack for pointing this one out to me.)

A Norse myth entry once again huh? Let's see how well this lil'one fares.

However I can't help but wondering what did Kenkou use for its design inspiration: Blazblue's very own chipmunk girl Makoto Nananya? Or the squirrel people from Dog Days?

Oh my, SO FLUFFY! SO FLUUUUUUFYYYYY!!!!! :nosebleed: :supersayan:

*Ahem* Anyway, I wonder how will she turn out. In the original myth, Ratatoskr was a squirrel who lived in Yggdrasil and served as the messenger between the eagle who lived at the top (I forgot its name, dammit!) and the Niddhog, the wyrm who lived under its roots. So, with that in mind, I cannot help but notice the courier bag she's carrying, here's a quiet hope that KC will make her myth-accurate this time around...

If I were to wager, I'd say 50/50 of each, and with maybe a pinch or two of his own Danuki; their legs in particular look quite alike.

Does it have a name? Sitting between the eyes of said eagle there was a hawk known as Veðrfölnir (or Vedrfolnir in case you want to pronounce it), but I don't recall the eagle itself actually having a name of its own.

From what I can tell, the eagle is unnamed.

Oh, right you are. I forgot that the hawk Vedrfolnir and the eagle were separate.

Well...it's pretty cute, I have to say! Got a nice forest ranger theme going on.

Forest Ranger you say? If that was the case I wouldn't mind pulling a Yogi Bear and causing mischief around her.
Spoiler: show
I'm most certain she wouldn't mind nuts for payments. Whichever form it is...

Oh... god... her head is broader than her body and both of her thighs look severely deformed. I can only guess they were going for something similar to updated Golem's highsocks (which i don't find of my taste), but that doesn't work here since it's just fur, or what looks to be it.

That aside, I had not seen fluff that looked so comfy since the March Hare. And such smug expression...

10/10 would pet. 11/10 would get pet by.

She reminds me of Reepicheep for some reason... But you can clearly see her messenger attributes thanks to her bag full of scrolls/letters. At least that's acurate acording to the myth.

speaking of mischief isn't it part of the story that Ratatoskr is also a lair? or have what I got from Smite Lore was wrong?

I don't recall seeing anything about it being a liar, but it was considered a gossip though.

Yup, just saw it on the boorus, and I must say I'm quite pleased with this one. I won't spoil it yet, but she's both myth-accurate and genuinely unique compared to many recent profiles. I'll say more once the translated profile's here.

EDIT: Y'know, whatevs, I'll post it myself. I don't wanna wait that long.

Indeed, she's pretty much the MGE's "Give me ten minutes, and I could start a war." girl.

But anyway, profile wise, this is very, very good. KC stood true to the original Ratatoskr myth in making her a messenger, and also, just as I early predicted, there's quite a bit of a Danuki in her. They both use clever deceit, manipulation and trickery to get what they want. However, unlike the Danuki (who's dastardly), she's shy and scaredy, which makes her real cute.

It might also be worth pointing out that she's (as far as I know) the first girl that actually FLEES from men instead of going after them. I can easily picture one of them using every bit of knowledge and trickery at her disposal to make a man notice her, only to dart away fully flustered once she accomplished so.

So, I must say she has successfully reached my TOP5; I love the idea of a clever girl who manipulates knowledge, but that's also shy and cute inside. Not to mention fluffy.

And speaking of that, I must say one thing, KC plays BlazBlue, confirmed. I mean, he spent a whole paragraph explaining just how soft and fluffy her tail is, and just how good it feels to embrace it and use it as pillow; and that's Makoto in a nutshell (tee heh, squirrel puns). The only thing missing is a substantial amount of underboob.

Still, there's one thing I can't help but wonder.... if she's both a Mailman AND a Squirrel.... what would happen if either a Kobold or a Cu Sith, or any of the other ''dog girls'' of the MGE saw her? .... Probably something like this:

Given her level of intellect, a certain quote must be uttered.
""Knowledge is power, hide it well..."

Well... For a rabies bearer, she sure looks adorable.

I like her looks (as she looks quite cute, her tail looks irresistibly fluffy and has green eyes) and she seems pretty faithful to the lore/myth she's based on (which it's INCREDIBLY RARE for an European lore/myth based monstergirl in the Kenkouverse), although... I personally miss some reference/connection to Nidhogg (which would be an excellent addition to the setting... if portrayed properly that is) or to Yggdrasil itself (which could have been an excellent base for a new region/city (a city on a huge tree) or a incredibly prominent Dryad).
Also I can't say that not extremely fond of her modus operandi (even if it's accurate enough) although I find rather funny that her schemes will always backfire when used on herself.

Overall... I like how she looks, but not how she acts... So I guess it's yet another of those "meh" territory lasses in my book (I can't bring myself to love her, yet I can't bring myself to hate her either).

.P.S.: I want to hug that tail though.

.P.S.II.:
The only thing missing is a substantial amount of underboob.
In order to show some underboob, she should have some boobs to begin with...^^U

No complaints here, about the non-ginormous boobs.
