I would think that a Vampire would have more control than that, especially considering how prideful they generally are. Have to keep up appearances that she's in control of her lust and hunger after all.

Nrvnsqr (pronounced Nero for some reason) did something similar in Tsukihime. He was fighting Arcueid saying how he couldn't believe a weak pathetic human like Shiki could ever kill him (let alone hurt him). Arcueid said those same words to him. Besides the one thing Arcueid fears most is that Shiki will never cook for her ever again...lol.

In my Kim Harrison books they have something called a "living vampire" which is like a faster stronger human who can eat garlic and is immune to holy things and can walk in sunlight. When they die they become "undead".

Anyway, it seems there are just too many variations of vampires in popular culture. It's amazing to think that it all pretty much started from Bram Stoker. I wonder what he would think if he knew how popular vampires have become.

Most likely a mix of pride at his creations becoming so popular and loved and shame at the fact that some of the mythos really bastardized his idea on the Vampires in general.

Edward could be one example of what I said. Another (and it PAINS me to say it) would be Alucard from Hellsing. Come on, he's basically a super vampire and I would imagine that Bram Stroker may or may not be to excited to see how his work created a bad ass like Alucard.

Something I was thinking about as I was getting treated for a painful foot injury (vacuum cleaners HURT when they land on your foot) is whether vampires would be involved as nurses or doctors. Certainly, there would be a lot of blood around, but I don't know if they would be entranced by all the blood - never mind some of it might be young children's. (There was someone else in the room that had a head injury, kid was maybe 8) Just wondering about that...and would a vampire lick up the blood that was present or not?

Vampire: Time for your tetanus shot! *brings out big needle*
