So it looks like we got maybe a patchwork Oni? And from what I've found it...

"Appears in front of those with strong sadness and tries to hug them, in which case the prey's rendered powerless by her soft, gentle body and unconsciously entrusts himself fully to her. Then she begins smothering him with affection until he may as well be a child who exists to be coddled by her."

Admittedly, perhaps we all could use a hug like that in these times.

If she was a Harpy, yea. Man I don't even remember the last time I had a real hug lol. Not even in my dreams! It's kinda funny I literally just had this idea for a monster girl having the power to extract "gloom" from someone to make her energized at the same time making the person feel naturally happy again. Must be the covid times inspiring such things. No doubt a large majority of people are gloomy these days all around the world. I saw Japan's suicide rate has skyrocketed this year also. :(

So, while not your preference, but would not mind a friendship with one?

Ain't gonna lie, she looks like the type that i would just run up to and hug as tightly and eandearingly as possible.

I can't imagine how soft she must feel XD.

Hopefully the translation will shed some light on what she's like

She doesn't look like a golf enthusiast to me... Just saying ^^u

I'm guessing that this pretty much is this setting's rendition of the Boogeyman (aka "Hombre del saco" for us Spanish speakers) and this "creative" naming scheme was chosen to get rid of the man in the name... But it's silly (a bogey is a golf penalty) and pointless (has anyone forgotten about the LizardMAN by any chance?).

I'll wait till the entry's translation before giving more of an accurate two cents, but for the time being... Let's just say that she's living up to her name ^^u

Translation's up fella's

As I suspected, she has that vibe of being a protective, loving mamono who'll shower those with sadness and emptiness in them with love and affection.

Though I didn't expect her to be the "ara ara" type which is the vibe I'm getting from her based on her profile description

I certainly feel the Yeti has a bit of competition for those soft hugs but alas, specific situations for the mamono and partner.

Yeh, by default I like to be friendly with all monsters as long as they respect my personal boundaries.

Barely above par

Hey... I ain't complaining...XD
___________

For Kenkonian standards... Not bad I suppose, the naming choice still baffles me (although it gives me the chance to pull off golf based puns and I will take it XD) and it was quite easy to predict how her personality and modus operandi would turn out (I appreciate my fluffy Friedrich der Große... I guess XD), but considering she'll could've easily ended up being much worse than this... Hey I'll take it.

However I gotta acknowledge that she ended up being another addition to an already saturated trope in this setting: hugging/cuddling monsters, which makes it hard for her to stand out (the only thing that makes her "unique" is her plushlike appearance)... It's kind of a shame actually.

.P.S.: So that's how I would meet my bad end if I were a "Kenkouverse" inhabitant... Huh, nice to know I guess.

Your expectations and accompanied pics make the name fit the monster girl quite perfectly Kaijin. :)

Meaning of Bogey : A potentially hostile target (old WWII slang), and the fact that bogey also means "evil spirit" or "something that causes alarm or fear" makes the name all the more perfect in my opinion. In this case, it seems she was expected to cause alarm which she did, but did not prove to be hostile! hehe.

Still not my type, the thought of cuddling for hours on end with anything or anyone besides a pillow (which gets the stuffing beat out of it often because I'm a rough sleeper LOL) makes me cringe.

Thanks to watching ReZero I'm getting Blue Oni/Ogre vibes here, since Rem started off so bad only to become the most doting character in the show..

(Edit button is very broken right now..)

My man is still going strong, COVID or no COVID. No matter how many years pass by. I'm always happy to see the Encyclopedia going strong.

The MGE profiles are like a turtle. Slow and steady.

Also nice to see a familiar face in a long while.

I had something of a sorts of nostalgic withdrawal. I recently got into the series of Disgaea, and for some reason I remembered today I remembered this site. So I came to see if it was still alive.
Which honestly, to my surprise it feels like nothing has changed from eight years ago. I mean minus the bots that is. :goodjob:

MGE never picked up the populaity that MGQ or DL with MG did in all this time, but it certainly stays alive. Still hopin for a new harpy entry that has < D cups, LOL..

And yea, seeing you again Sev is exciting, but I see people drop by 1 or 2 days and vanish for 4 years a lot on here and don't get my hopes up much anymore lol. Speaking of Disgaea, 4-5 are great on the Switch, and 6 is on the way, plus a mobile game hopefully in English soon! That's one series I always seem to come back to and I've been playing since Disgaea 1 from back in 2004.

As for the bots, I decided to lock down new registrations entirely, the bots would not friggin stop. Tenacious little shits.
