Her tail is pretty cool looking...Though I would be careful there Whippe. I mean, I don't know if bugs can swim and all, but said Nereid may want a piece of you if you're not careful.

I think I can take her....on land....away from water......with a baseball bat...

I wouldn't mind either way, but I'd prefer land where it's not so one sided.

I'd love to swim with her.

I still prefer the Sea Bishop. The Nereid is just a pale imitation.

If limited to the seagoing monster girls, I prefer the Merrow, for obvious reasons.

I don't get it... Why does people keep comparing Sea Bishops and Nereids over and over?
The first ones are the responsibles to spread Poseidon's words through out every ocean of MGE's world, and the second ones are simply a calm and laidback version of the succubus...
This profile does not even list Nereids as mermaids nor related to mermaids, they're listed as succubi.

And if I had to find a link between the mermaid family and MGE Nereids it wouldn't be the Sea Bishop, but the Merrow. Both Merrows and Nereids have a similar behavior when it comes to men and their personalities are pretty similar (the first is warmer and friendlier while the second is calmer and more laidback but that doesn't make that much of a difference to me...).

I can pretty much imagine a Merrow and a Nereid hanging out, chatting about personal experiences (aka erotic stories) nonchalantly... Heck... I can even imagine them sharing the same man...

Back to topic...

When it comes to aquatic creatures I can't say that Nereids are my favorites, since there are other entries that I like way more than them such as Undines (#3 in my personal ranking), Merrows (#5) or Scyllas among others...

However when it comes to succubi the scenario changes DRASTICALLY, since I consider Nereid's calm demeanor such a nice change compared to most of the rest of her family's behavior... They would be my favorites if it weren't for Alps (#5) and Alices (lucky #7) (pretty unpopular choices I know, but that's how I roll)... Heck I like them more than Ropers and considering my tentacle love/fetish this is one heck of a feat.

So yeah... I like them... It's a shame that they get so little appreciation compared to others... Almost no fanart, no fanfictions, they hardly appear on any RP... they're pretty much overlooked.

I prefer the Sea Bishop because she is a LADY. The nereid is just a fishy succubi. And I HATE demons! (I never got over "Drag me to hell" )

Nereids, being Poseidon´s version of succubi do not drag you to hell.
They drag you to the ocean, even sometimes with the excuse of having
saved you from drowning.

The Merrow is the only one of the fish girls who can live on the ground, albeit
the Nereid has the necessary body parts to live there as well...

mentioned in the last part of their profile is more akin to other creatures like the "Rusalka"
than to the mythological Nereids...

Actually it's interesting you bring up the Rusalka. I'm a fan of them and I'd like to see them here on TMM.
