Lizardman
Lizard Family -- Reptile Type

Habitat: Caves
Disposition: Strong-willed and Stubborn
Diet: Carnivorous, Wilde Animals, etc.

Physically strong, quick tempered, and able to use nearly any weapon, many members of this lizardlike race train as warriors. They prefer to live in caves; however, it’s common for a lizardman’s training to bring her all around the world. For this reason, they can be found in a variety of places.

Despite their aggressive nature, lizardmen do not normally attack humans. However, if a chance-met human describes himself as a warrior, a lizardman will challenge him to a test of their abilities. If he loses, his life is in danger. However, lizardmen desire strong husbands; if he wins, she may offer to marry him. If he turns her down, she is likely to follow him around until he changes his mind.

As written above, lizardmen are mostly safe monsters. But because most individuals are strong-willed and have great pride, if encountered, one must be careful not to anger them.

I love female warriors. They're just so awesome! And the Lizardman has scales and is reptilian to some extent, which makes her even more awesome!

Alexandra used to be a Lizardman. Then she won a tournament and became a Dragon, because the prize for winning that tournament was the opportunity to become a Dragon.

One of my favorite entries on the whole encyclopedia (the 8th).
I don't know why I like them that much though... Maybe I can't help but feel somehow identified with them (I happen to share quite a few traits with them personality wise).

I wonder if they're actually cold blooded though... The idea of one of these girls lazily dozing off, laid on a flat rock while the sun gently brings warmth to her body is rather alluring and add a cuteness factor to them...

Funny thing is, I just made a post in the Salamander's thread stating just that!

A Lizardman acting calm and cold, yet having that soft spot for the one who managed to defeat her, making her a little different from Vergil, yet at the same time having enough of his personality traits to make her an expy of him. just awesome.

...damn that's a tough one! Nero and Sparda huh? That's gonna be tough to answer SOL, though if you have any ideas, I'm more than welcome to them.

Well, I'd suppose that, for a serious answer, Nero would be a Salamander and Sparda would be a Lizardman, though I don't know what Sparda's personality was actually like, so I can't be sure on that one...

For a joke answer, though, I'd say Nero would be a Dullahan because he "loses his head" a couple of times, and Sparda, being the badass that he was (reputed to be), would be a Dragon.

That's a very interesting idea. A Lizardman who is unable to be a warrior and turns to magic. Would be a fun character to write about.

How about a Lizardman Spellsword or Battlemage (or Arcane Warrior or Magic Knight)? She'd have the best of both worlds, unmatched weapon skills AND magic prowess.
