Okay, so I got the game and English patch. So far the third story is nice, though I must say Luka dies a lot more than an of the two chapters in the third one since he's either killed, eaten, or reborn as a new being in the third Chapters, and those angels, there's nothing angelic about most of them O.o

But now I got to battle that Angel Ghoul. Naturally I beat her on the story, but after that, I went to the encyclopedia and lost on purpose. Least I can confirm she doesn't rape you to death, which is good, but she keeps you for the rest of your days, which can be argued to be a living hell.

It was harsh, but I did manage to beat her using only Gnome

since whenever you summon 2 spirits she cancels them out, you're better off sticking with one that reduces damage and lets you break off holds easier.
keep on the defensive through the whole fight (she has an instant-kill move that can only be countered by daystar so you can't start out the fight using it to take off a good chunk of health out of her.
whenever she summons a spirit IMMEDIATELY summon the counter spirit for it (you probably already know how this works) if she summons undine, don't change to salamander, keep gnome up because fire will not help out against water in terms of dodging and reducing damage.
You leave the damage to Alice, you just keep on holding your ground and healing.
when you see she is low health, you can probably risk going all out, but that didn't work for me because she used her instant kill me when I had used daystar a turn before it.
I won by the skin of my teeth, I seriously had 150 health left when Alice delivered the final blow to her
ALSO:she has two grabs, one which can be struggled off from, and the other you can attack to escape from, both have a picture so you can guess which one is which and what you should do to escape
this should help a little, if you beat her, good luck with Illias!
If you think of me as nothing more than a mere wanderer...you are trully mistaken, because I can destroy the very fabric of your being with the power bestowed upon me.

Where there is a question there is an answer, where there is an option there is another, my path is mine alone to make.

Death? I have gotten used to it, for I cannot die...I come back every time.

I used Undine since she actually allows you to dodge most of the attacks, and it's pretty nice sinceshe gives your Daystar a bonus whenever you get a chance to use it. So really all I did was this

Undine -> Daystar - Recover [Repeat]

When she uses the elemental spirits, of course I use the ones that counter them

I probably shouldn't have started this game so late, but I've been playing for about a week and I just returned to Tamono's village after Haven bursts, and I have to say I'm super surprised by how good the story is.

Also is it normal to have over 200 losses by this point? I blame the Kraken and Quad-Lamia CG sets...

In order to unlock all achievements, one must win, lose get attacked by every monster with all techniques and explore all outcomes and options. Basically, leave no stone unturned.
To sum, keep going.

I'm not getting achievements, I'm just losing a lot. I'm getting particularly pissed at the enemies that do those inescapable binds or when you need to bring out Slyph, then Gnome right after but you can't because if you take a hit you'll go down and I need to save SP for Meditation.

But I've made it to the just after the big meeting with the humans and the Four Heavenly Knights. I can tell this is going to get stranger and stranger as I get closer to Illias; these angels are already fucking bizarre I can't imagine what they'll be like later.

Spoiler: show
Would anyone know if these two are the children of Luka and Alice? These two seem to share traits from their progenitors...

EDIT: Neris (AKA Alice the 17th) and Nero (Unknown traveller but strongly implied to be the Son of Luka) Just speculation for the latter.

Neris looks cute, but if that's the son of Luka, I DO NOT want to fuck with him.

He looks like he inherited his father's strength and his mother's ruthlessness... and not so much either of their compassion.
To find him, you must forget the stories...

Forget the legends...

You have to do more than walk in his footsteps...

For he is more than the sum of his actions...

I tell you this, not because I trust you...

But because all our lives are at stake...

Because the seeds of our future... are sown in his past...

You do get to play as him in a fight in MGQ paradox...and his attacks are...impressive, to say the least. That fight is also a garanteed win for you since he cannot die at all.
