The Monster Multiverse

For those who don't know, well, here's what the wiki article says: Minecraft is focused on creativity and building, allowing players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world. Gameplay in its commercial release has two principal modes: Survival, which requires players to acquire resources themselves and maintain their health and hunger; and Creative, where the player has an unlimited supply of resources, the ability to fly, and no concept of health or hunger. A third gameplay mode, named Hardcore, is essentially the same as Survival, but the difficulty is locked on the hardest setting and respawning is disabled, forcing the player to delete his or her world upon death. An outdated Classic version is also available for free, although it is no longer being developed. Creative Minecraft resembles Classic, but with many more features.

It's also got a great multiplayer aspect to it, some of which can result in some awesome-looking towns and cities. It's also quite ripe for a "Create your own Adventure" tale too.

Word of warning for those who are considering joining the server I'm on.

We (The server I play on) have been threatened from another server, and my place has been blown up. Expect security to be put up, most noteably a "whitelist" which only certain people will be allowed on.

Wow..that sucks. =/ Why would do they that?

My guess? Some kind of beef with the players. Me in perticular it seems...

We confronted the person who bombed my place, as seen here, and he dropped the name of someone who paid him to do it, the reasoning being that I was "evil and deserving of being griefed"

Void was on as well.


UPDATE- Guilty parties have been found out, and delt with accordingly.

I play the game, but, for reasons I don't like to talk about I only play single player. I mean, multiplayer looks fun, but I'm not even good at single player yet. So why would I go on multiplayer?

But it's good to hear the griefers were dealt with!

You can get help in finding hard-to-find materials for one. Also, collaberation on projects.

Well, that's true... But, I still don't want to go into multiplayer looking like a complete newb. ^^;
