A new game I'm pumped for this year- STARBOUND. I never was into Terraria myself, but Starbound looks to add a lot of great features that I wanted in Terraria.

http://playstarbound.com/about/

The beta is buyable now on Steam, have a looksee of what to expect: http://community.playstarbound.com/inde ... tes.48141/

And get this, there is "monster girl" races! Even a "star kid" race, now there's a monster girl idea for ya. With mods there will probably be even more too. ;)

So who's gona buy it? $15, not too bad. :)

As a fan of terraria (Did everything you could do and get in that game ;}) I gotta say, this game looks mighty interesting, its from the same people that made terraria too.

The idea of finding new planets that have new crops, wildlife and dungeons is very nice indeed.

All I hope is that there is RPG mechanics (with levels, stats and skills) in it, it would be a good addition to Starbound to differentiate it from terraria.

either way, this looks pretty good and its pretty cheap too, considering there is betas that are over 30$ like Nether. I might get it eventually

Apart from the artist (who was apparently a hired artist not part of the Terraria team), I don't think it's the Terraria team. Feel free to correct that though, just quoting from the Steam hub. It has quite a huge following on steam already. Needless to say, I'm making an Avian! :)

BETA 2 should begin soon, and it should be more improved by then.

I've been watching MegaGWolf LP this game. It's pretty cool.

I've been watching the Zetaplays Let's Play of it, and it does look like it can be quite fun. However, while I would like the game, the inability to change the keybindings is a bit of a killer for me.

That's understandable, and I'd be surprised if they didn't do something about that. The game is going to be VERY open to modding, so I expect a lot from in in the future.

I see a lot of angry players commenting about wanting hotkey binds. Apparently the developers said (via Twitter) it's not a focus at the moment, but may be implemented at final release.

The bird race is getting a lot of hate, the aquatic race seems to be the "Ignored" race. People are already making memes and fan fiction for the game, so you can tell it's going to have a really strong community (for better or worse).

Now that I think about it, this game reminds me of my Myth Years Away game, since it will be sandbox and have non humans, involve planetary travel, etc. Huh..maybe I can get some more ideas from it by playing. :)

And once I'm all done and settled with midterms, I'm thinking about running a server.

However, Hamachi may be needed.

Cool, and I found a handy guide here -

Anyone else interested in joining me and Flare if we get it going?

So, no real interest in joining up a server?

Hmm.... This seems quite interesting and very relevant to my interests.

However, there's a part I'm not clear about. It's free, or paid? Because if it's paid, I'll have to let it slip.

Much like minecraft, it's pay to get, free to use. It cost me about 14 euro's.

I only got it a short while ago, so i'm stil learning the basics, but i sure wouldn't mind joining a server.

Yea..my only issue with the game (and many others) that it's still early Beta. I don't want to get a bad first impression.

That's one of my worries, too. I've heard it's buggier than an unpatched Bethesda game. Still, considering how good it looks, I'd be willing to try it.

Any luck in Google yet? I haven't checked the Steam hub in a while to know their new links. Most of them keep saying "it's really easy" but I don't know how since I don't have the game to try.
