WIP Monster Girls

Post by Moon_Dew »

I've recently acquired the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Monster Manual (along with several other books) and decided to work on a little brainstorm sort of thing, making new Mamonos out of them and what not.

This is what I have finished...well, finished enough to serve as a good starting point for discussion at least, they still need a lot more ironing out.

Aboleth: Prefer the deepest regions of the ocean and hidden undersea caves, but often have a space near the coast where they can incite humans. Prefer intelligent males for both sexual energy and to drain them of their knowledge, women are drained of their intelligence and turned into slaves in order to attract prey. Initially hated the changes the Demon Lord made to their bodies, but soon grew to love them as it made attracting potential slaves/food/bearers of knowledge easier.

Ankheg: Burrows around until she senses human male pheromones, at which point she bursts out of the ground and either tries to drag her prey underground and force herself upon the (un)lucky soul, or spits a powerful combination of female pheromones and aphrodisiacs at her prey and invites him into her tunnel...and then into her “personal tunnels”.

Azer: Living bronze statues with fire for hair, and bleed pure elemental fire when injured (not an easy feat) but otherwise similar to Dwarves, save for preferring volcanic environs and harboring an hatred for Efreet as intense as the heat from their inner fire.

Banshee: Her scream can stun any and all nearby men, women will be killed and end up as an undead Mamono. Banshees desire men not just for the sexual energy but also because if they don't have sex on a regular basis they'll be unable to feel anything other than sorrow and hatred.

Basilisk: Basically the polar opposite of a Cockitrice.

Behir: Cave-dwelling reptile Mamono with an affinity for electricity. Absolutely despises Dragons.

Beholder: Larger, more powerful, and more sadistic version of the Gazer. Whenever they're not having sex, they're plotting world domination, managing their slaves, and researching lost arcane lore. Each any every Beholder believes herself to be the very pinnacle of Beholderkind, needless to say this attitude means that Beholders do NOT play well with each other.

Death Tyrant: When a Beholder's mind goes to places that would drive most other beings insane, there is a chance that she may become this. Appears as a cross between a Gazer and a Skeleton, with their eyes replaced with spectral orbs and their tentacles taking on a ghostly appearance.

Spectator: A weaker form of Gazer often summoned to serve as a familiar or a guardian. Easily identified due to their greenish pigmentation and for having only four tentacles/eye stalks. Capable of telepathy. Most are ever so slightly, to put it politely, eccentric.

Blight: Undead plant Mamonos. Form when plant-based Mamonos make the mistake of taking root in areas blighted by dark magic. Will just as willingly feast on flesh and blood as they would spirit energy and semen, and will often partake of all of the above. The Demon Lord has placed a generous bounty upon the Blights, and generously reward anyone with information on the sources of the Dark Blight, and for those who manage to put a permanent end to the Dark Blight, she will grant them their own kingdom to rule (if female) or the right to be her second husband (if male), outranked only by herself and her first husband.

Bugbear: The rarest form of the Common Goblin, and the most respected (by Goblins and Hobgoblins) and feared (by humans and anyone who makes the mistake of making an enemy out of Goblinkind). Tall as a man, curved in all the right places, and strong enough to shot-put a full-grown man a full 25ft. Unlike Hobgoblins, Bugbears are actually rather intelligent and serve as a leader to any and all nearby Goblin tribes, and is able to organize them into a shockingly effective fighting force. While Bugbears still maintain the characteristic mischievousness of Goblins, they do have a slight mean streak and a passion for combat.

Bulette: Also known as “land sharks” Bulettes are some of the fastest burrowers in the Mamono world. Extremely simple-minded, the Bulette's two most common activities are eating and mating; they'll mate with anyone that catches their fancy (species, gender, age, creed, or level of consent regardless) and eat anything that looks tasty, regardless of whether it's actually edible or not (one Bulette, who needed to had her stomach pumped, actually consumed a silk bag of gold coins, a quill and half-full inkwell (still with stopper plugged in), three nail files, one metal rasp, the remains of a music box, a pin cushion with 18 pins of various sizes and styles, a cotton beach towel, and, somehow or another, a fully loaded flintlock pistol, and this isn't even the most extreme example). Bulettes are both famed and feared for their ability to make long leaps even from a standing start.

Deva: A sub-species of Angel that serve as the messengers of the gods.

Planetar: A sub-species of Angel that serve as the swords of the gods. Capable of controlling the weather and summoning or rebuking insect plagues to reward or punish mortals, be they human or Mamono.

Solar: Among the rarest, if not the rarest, sub-species of Angel, serving as the stewards of the gods.

Bullywug: Self-proclaimed rulers of the swamp, sticklers for proper etiquette (at least their version of it) and titles, and they crave the fear and respect of others as much as they crave sexual energy. Any non-Bullywug that trespasses on their lands risks becoming a slave; bribery and flattery tend to be effective means of tricking Bullywugs into letting you go, but it is not a guarantee, especially during mating season.

Cambion: If the spawn of a Succubus is born during the zenith of a Blood Moon (when the magic of the demon realm corrupts the moon's light), they'll be born as a Cambion, a more combat-oriented version of the traditional Succubus. While a Succubus absorbs mana through sexual contact with human men, a Cambion is actually a living mana generator, capable of producing mana simply through combat; the more intense the battle, and the more worthy the opponent, the more mana she can generate, to the point in which even other Succubi may find her irresistable.

Carrion Crawler: Rivals of Devil Bugs and Beelzebubs, subterranean carrion eaters famed and fear for setting up ambushes (their ability to crawl along the ceiling makes it easy to, pardon the pun, get the drop on unsuspecting prey), their powerful paralytic poison-packed tentacles, and their lack of pickiness towards “partners” (As long as they're human and sexually mature, a Carrion Crawler could care less about the details).

Chuul: Once the servants of the Aboleths, they served their roles as guardians long after the fall of the empire. With the rise of the new Demon Lord, the Chuul have gained sentience and true freedom, and now they serve their own goals rather than those of the Aboleths.

Cloaker: Glides along in the dark and the shadows hunting for men, or disguises herself as a fine leather cloak with bone clasps and waits for an unsuspecting man to wear her, at which point he'll find himself engulfed in the Cloaker's wings and promptly raped. Cloakers are capable of generating a moaning sound that, depending on the frequency, can either scare away enemies, or drive me into a sexual stupor, making them easy targets. If a Cloaker is ever attacked, her spiny tail serves as a powerful deterrent, and can create illusionary duplicates of herself to confuse her foes, providing she isn't in bright light, which would dispel the phantom copies.

Cockatrice: The Cockatrice of the Far Lands are far more aggressive than their native cousins (although they would call it courageousness), attacking anything that seems even remotely hostile...or masculine. Another notable difference is their ability to petrify their foes; a single bite or scratch from a Cockatrice will turn the affected area to stone for 24 hours. If they spot a man, Cockatrice will attack the limbs, preventing him from running away or fighting back, allowing the Cockatrice and any members of her flock to enjoy their new boy toy at their leisure.

I've actually came up with a bit of a background for this now; basically the Demon Lord has managed to, more or less, conquer the whole of the MGE world (whatever it's called), and razed the Order to the ground (save for a few scattered remnants who, despite overwhelming odds, continue to fight), and now she's decided to expand her domain to new worlds, new dimensions, and she already has several picked out (the various settings of Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and Exalted, just to start with). The Demon Lord sent her greatest commanders to these new worlds to expand her influence and create new species of Mamono; needless to say, the local species and their gods were not especially accepting of this new world order, and to make matters worse the remnants of The Order have managed to travel to the new worlds as well, and they're already spreading their own teachings across the realms.

Quite an interesing set of mamono you have here, the Blight one particilarly caught my interest. Seeing a species that has been corrupted in such a manner that even the demon lord would want them gone, that is not something you see everyday.
And the Bulette's description is just hilarious. :XD:

Truth be told, most of these are still works in progress, and I'd like to get a few more Mamomos planned out before ironing out the details some more.

I don't think there's an official Banshee yet, unless it just hasn't been translated yet. Of course, that's not to say there won't be alternate versions of the canon Mamonos.
