今回の魔物娘は「バジリスク」
This time's monster girl is “basilisk”.
伝承ではヘビだったり、トカゲだったり、ニワトリだったりする彼女達ですが、図鑑世界ではラミア属の一種となりました。
According to legends, they may have been snakes, lizards, or chickens, but in the encyclopedia world they've become a race of the lamia family.
原典では「見られただけで死ぬ」程の恐ろしい力を持つバジリスクですが、
図鑑世界でも即死級(性的な意味で)の魔眼を持っており、普段はその力を抑えるために仮面を被っているんだとか。
In the source material, the basilisk possesses such terrifying power that it could kill “just by gazing at a person,” but even in the encyclopedia world, they possess evil eyes that can bring about instant death (in a sexual sense). Normally, they wear the mask to suppress that power.
She doesn't look that regal to me (Basilisk comes from βασιλίσκος which is Greek for "small king", and basiliks are quite commonly regarded as the "king of snakes").
As usual lookswise she's stunning and I find quite curious that she has one eye (assuming it's actually an eye rather than a blindfold) since that's a trait NOT associated to basilisk's traditional image but rather on its Gaucho approach (in Gaucho lore basilisks are one eyed worms).
I'm kinda curious and incredibly wary of seeing how this one turns out once translated, this one has actually lots of potential... but European myth/lore entries almost never come off well once implemented.
And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.

I was thinking the same thing, after all the basilisk can kill with it's stare.
and yes i really like her look,

Odds are she has a pair of regular eyes behind the face mask. The reason for the mask is what I'm interested in, since last I checked some sources for the basilisk spoke of being able to kill though mere eye-contact. Others say a basilisk could kill simply by someone smelling their scent, can breathe fire, loves dry places and when coming in contact with water, any person(ie. man) in the vicinity will become frenzied and hydrophobic.
How this'll translate well, it could go a number of ways, Kaijin is right in that this one has great potential. The scent would of course become a bewitching scent that would also act as a lure and an aphrodisiac, par the course. Dry places so a desert dweller and the fire part could likely be akin to the flames of a Shirohebi.
The water aspect could be more the man developing a dependence/desire on her love fluids and prefer it to water. May not become hydrophobic but possibly become 'frenzied' if going on for a time without her fluids, which of course would be a rare occurrence.
Lastly her gaze. Couple possibilities, a gaze powerful enough to make men quake with pleasure from making eye contact, falling over unconscious due such a powerful orgasm. Powerful enough that even already bonded husbands aren't immune? One possibility for the mask, the other is that some of the original descriptions told of the basilisk having a series of white markings around the head that look like a diadem, a jewelled crown/headband worn as a sign of sovereignty. The latter would be a nod to the description of 'King of Snakes'.
Just my bit, we'll see the truth once the translation comes out.
What intrigues me, is that red light in "you know where"
There are those who would scorn good-natured people. Even if God himself will
not show his face, a heartful person will one day take God's place in
visiting Judgement upon them. This is what is known as "Divine Retribution"
I won't spoil to much about her, but what she has on is in fact a mask. Pity, but I at least discovered a new fetish. There are also things mentioned about sight and smell. Nothing about water yet. Anything more then that and I won't say until the full and accurate translation comes out. She's quite lovely though, so be prepared

I remember back in the day when Nyctos would create his own profiles, and the first one I read was the Basilisk. I don't know how she's going to be once the profiles translated but in my opinion Nycto's version will be better of the two simply because it was the first one I read.

Huh... you'll have to link me that profile, I don't remember Nycto's making something like that. But I think you might be surprised with what the KC version can do

Its because he made multiple sets of profiles based on themes. They were on the old MGU site before and I'm not sure if he brought them over, but I'm certain I saved them all.
come on, let her percieve depth. But i have to admit that some clumsiness would make her utmost adorable (jusr remember hitomi sensei)
