Better yet, she should monsterize said Samurai into another Ochumusha.Pierce wrote:She should team up with a certain Samurai who's wandering the future for 50 years...
Feathers,August 16th, 2014And Kaijin you are the "Perentie" of this place, IMO.
Sounds like you already have an idea on her origin. Would you mind sharing?Kaijin wrote:It's ironically funny that something meant to be based after a low rank, honourless, coward and defeated samurai whose main (only even) goal in life was to keep running away/hiding for as long as he lives or to be brutally killed by farmers in order to gain some minor reward turned out to look so badass.
Ochimusha were Samurai who betrayed their bushido (code of honor); ran away from battle, disobeyed the orders of their lord or didn't commit seppuku. In essence, dead-only wanted criminals. If I recall correctly from a translation that came up on 4 plebs, this is not the case with this profile however.Blake81 wrote:Sounds like you already have an idea on her origin. I've already been beaten to it, so the only thing I can do is pretty much add that besides what has been explained so far Ochimusa could also be used to refer the warriors/samurais that took part in a war and lost (yet survived).Sounds like you already have an idea on her origin. I like the way you think. But yeah, from what has been translated so far, she's quite the girl... well, Thats my own personal opinion, so I have no idea what people might think of her in general.dragonstryke58 wrote:The name Ochimusha doesn't need to refer to the origin but could be a play on the words "ochi" from "ochiru" which means "fallen" and "musha" which is a "martial person". So essentially Kenkou just named her a "fallen martial person" probably to imply that she's a samurai that has "fallen" into depravity and lust after becoming an undead.
I don't see this, at all. Rather, they appeal to me in a much different trope, being reserved and quiet but having a desire for their lord. Mostly because if their bushido is anything like the one in real life, then insulting their lord is the equivalent of a sin. Although a tsundere one would be an interesting twist.TehDanimal1 wrote:You just know that her personality is easily tsundere. *Head pat* *super blush* "baka it's not like blah blah blah cliche tsundere line"
